Millenials
The movie knocked up is a good example of one of the things that makes this generation a millenial. A lot of teenagers or even adults are having children before marriage. And some are not even in a relationship with one another. Some the baby can make them fall in love with one another. Some it does the opposites and they choose other options such as raising the child seperately and having joint custody. It is becoming a bigger and bigger things to raise children seperately and parents going through divorces. It is one of the struggles most face in society today.

I do agree with you that casual sex and having children out of wedlock is a recurring theme in pop culture items of this generation. I mentioned those two themes as well in my blog post that identified the TV show 'Friends' as an illustration of our values. I think that, as millenials, we are more open-minded about things like casual (even unprotected) sex. This has negative and positive effects, as you suggested, such as divorce ans split families.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that having children before marriage is a popular things or becoming more common in todays culture and the millennial. My parents were separated for part of my childhood, but they got along well and communicated well for the sake of me. They are together now, but for their own reasons not because it make me happy. We cant make two people love each other because they have a child together we just have to do what's best for everyone. My parents did a great job with that. Your right though this culture today their is a lot of children being born with parents that are separated or not involved.
